My version of a picturesque gondola repair yard on the Dorsoduro that has been painted by artists for centuries, as evidenced by the collection gracing the interior of the osteria opposite it. The architecture has barely changed for years. I sketched it originally when there were all these people about, but It wasn’t quite this busy when I came back to draw it properly early in the morning. The light was best then though.
