August: Agapanthus

£20.00 - £40.00

August drawing for Lockdown Diary, and the star turn in the garden right now is this agapanthus, growing inconveniently beside the path - but it does conceal the limited floriferousness beyond and makes a great cut flower.

Plus nicotiana sylvestris, verbena bonariensis, lavender, some Californian poppies, erigeron, and part of the Farm, ie a wicker basket with purple kale and an English marigold in it.

It's that funny time in summer when the early extravaganza has faded and the autumn one is yet to arrive. So I'm very appreciative of the agapanthus. And look, this summer a single rogue white version appeared!
